An open challenge, not a scenario
Teams pick a real problem, make someone’s work better and show why it matters. Any industry. Any process. Any user.

Milbird hackathons
Milbird designs and runs one-day hackathons for data communities and the companies that serve them. An open challenge, real problems, and partners who listen before they pitch.
In preparation First two hackathons · September and October 2026
The approach
The same four principles shape every Milbird hackathon, whatever the theme and whoever hosts it.
Teams pick a real problem, make someone’s work better and show why it matters. Any industry. Any process. Any user.
Any AI tool is welcome. A partner can bring a featured platform and an optional power-up before the day, without defining the answer.
A hackathon can live inside a conference or a company event, so the strongest ideas can meet the main stage the same afternoon.
Give everyone a clear purpose, practical preparation and an understanding of what they can take away.
Upcoming
Both events are in preparation. The previews show the shape of each day so hosts and partners can shape it with us.
In preparation
September 28, 5–8 PM at the Silicon Valley AI Hub. Apply AI agents to find, access and govern data with Snowflake, and leave with a practical approach, the checks it needs and a three-minute explanation for colleagues.

Build on the September 28 session with a practical AI hackathon at the October 9 data-management conference, supported by Snowflake funding or sponsorship.
The October 9 opportunity →Considering one?
Milbird designs the challenge, runs the day, brings partners and gives every stakeholder a private briefing. The previews above show the shape of a day before the first one runs. Tell us who it is for and what should be better afterwards.
Already part of one?
Participants and early partners get a briefing written for them, at a separate address that shows only their conversation. If you arrived from an invitation, use the link in that note. If you need one, ask the person who invited you.
