AI Agents for Data Teams. Put them to work.
Where could AI agents make the biggest difference in your team’s work?
Bring a real task to the Bay Area Snowflake User Group on Monday, September 28. In three hours, you’ll collaborate with others using Snowflake’s agentic AI products to solve a data team problem, learning how agents can help you find, access and govern data.
Find the right dataset, help colleagues understand how to access it, document its lineage or check how it should be governed. No problem is too small if solving it adds value to your team or company. Choose the task you care about, then show what an AI agent changes and how you would check the result.
Governance, memory and context are part of making the approach useful: what information should an AI agent use, remember or be allowed to act on?
What you’ll leave with
- Experience building together: collaborate with others on Snowflake’s agentic AI products to solve a data team problem.
- Progress on a real task: the workflow or example you worked on together, what you got running and the checks it needs.
- A result you can explain: a three-minute video showing the improvement, your evidence and what to try next.
How the evening works
Work in teams of up to four. Come solo and find a team. Learn to use Snowflake’s agentic AI products, share ideas and apply them to your data task. Start with a strategy or workflow, then show what you managed to build, run and check.
Judging criteria
- Value Creation: does it add value to a team?
- Innovation: are you using the tools in new ways?
- Working: how much did you actually build and get running?
Who should join
Data professionals, governance practitioners, developers and business teams exploring enterprise AI agents. Bring your experience and curiosity; you don’t need to arrive with a team or a finished idea.
Lead sponsor: Snowflake
Snowflake is the lead sponsor for this Bay Area Snowflake User Group mini-hackathon. The specific contributions and account setup are still to be agreed.
Snowflake products for the session
Candidate products: Snowflake CoCo, Cortex Agents and Snowflake CoWork. The lineup, walkthrough and account setup are to be agreed with Snowflake. See the product overview ↗
Proposed memory provider: Cognee
Cognee’s proposed memory contribution would show how AI agents can retain and reuse useful context, with supporting guidance from Dave Nielsen for teams exploring their own workflows. Participation and the example are to be confirmed.
Explore what your workflow should remember, who should be able to reuse it and what happens when the source information changes.
